We would like to inform you that on Saturday, 5 September 2026, due to the BLITZ BOVEC MARATON 2026, there will be full and partial road closures on state roads. The Bovec bus station will be temporarily relocated to Bovec Airport.

From 4 September to 11 October 2026, the Soča Valley invites you to enjoy one of the most beautiful times of year for exploring nature – on foot, by bike and through the stories of inspiring people. This year, the Soča Valley Hiking and Biking Festival will once again bring together guided hikes and cycling tours, boutique experiences, talks by top Slovenian athletes, cultural events and the flavours of the local environment.

Due to the reconstruction of the state road and the improvement of parking areas (asphalting), the road will be closed from 4:00 a.m. on 24 August 2026 until 6:00 a.m. on 25 August 2026. The bus timetable will also be changed!

The Infrastructure Directorate, together with the municipalities of Kranjska Gora and Bovec, is introducing a new traffic management system at the Vršič Pass. Its aim is to ensure safer and more orderly access to the area, improve traffic flow and provide better protection of the sensitive natural environment, particularly during the tourist season.

From 25 June 2026 to 30 August 2026, the local road to the Memorial Church of the Holy Spirit in Javorca — from St Peter’s Church to Polog mountain pasture — is completely closed to all motor vehicles every day of the week. Please check the traffic regime and the shuttle bus timetable.
