FULL ROAD CLOSURE OVER VRŠIČ PASS

Due to the reconstruction of the state road and the improvement of parking areas (asphalting), the road will be closed from 4:00 a.m. on 24 August 2026 until 6:00 a.m. on 25 August 2026. The bus timetable will also be changed!
- Road: R1-206
- Section: 1043 Ruska cesta (Erika–Vršič) (from km 8.575 to km 8.948)
- Section: 1028 Vršič–Trenta (from km 0.000 to km 0.330)
In case of bad weather, the road closure will be postponed to a later date.

CHANGED BUS TIMETABLES
Due to construction works taking place on Vršič on Monday, 24 August 2026, bus services across Vršič will not operate. In addition, on 25 August, the departures from Kranjska Gora to Bovec at 04:35 and 06:35 and from Bovec at 04:30 and 06:30 will not operate.
On 24 and 25 August 2026, regular buses from Kranjska Gora to Bovec will operate via Predel at 10:35, 12:35 and 16:50, while buses from Bovec to Kranjska Gora via Predel will depart at 08:00, 10:30 and 15:30. These bus services are subject to a fare. No additional services via the detour will be organised, except in the Bovec area as far as the Trenta bus stop by the barriers. Transport through the Trenta Valley will also be provided to the Trenta car park bus stop by the barriers.
Departures from Bovec: 05:30, 07:30, 09:30, 09:30, 12:00, 13:30 and 15:30
Return departures from the Trenta car park bus stop by the barriers: 06:44, 08:44, 10:30, 10:44, 13:00, 14:44 and 16:44.
