The Soča Trail Connects Numerous Sights, Interesting Facts and Natural Beauties

Even though the Soča Trail is 25 km long, you can adapt the course and the length of your planned journey to your time. On the way, you will find 17 arranged information points talking about the geological, hydrological, building, vegetational, life and other characteristics of the Triglav National Park. Visit:

The Soča Trail, which for many is the most beautiful section of the long-distance Alpe Adria Trail, offers a rich experience of nature and heritage. Here, many animals and seekers of primal nature find peace. Make sure the trail remains unaltered after your visit as well.

Starting point:


In the summer, you can use the bus transportation between Bovec and Kranjska Gora so you do not have to return to the starting point of your the hike along the same route. Check the timetable.


Regular guided tours on the Soča Trail take place every Thursday in June, July and August.

Assembly point: Koča pri izviru Soče (Mountain hut at the source of the Soča River) at 9:00 AM.

Guided tours for groups outside the timetable by arrangement.

    The Soča Trail

    The Soča Trail (Soška pot), the first nature trail to be created in Triglav National Park runs along the Soča river from its source to the town of Bovec.
