Discover where to park when visiting the Tolmin Gorges and how to reach them on foot – either from parking areas around Tolmin or from the bus station. Practical tips for an easy visit to this natural gem.

 

Parking Lot P1

This parking area is paid (€3.00/hour) from Easter Sunday until September 30 and is located very close to the entrance to the Tolmin Gorges. It can be reached via the road from Tolmin through Zatolmin.

Parking is for cars only.

 

Parking Lot P2

Free parking "P2" is located at the end of Tolmin, in the direction of Zatolmin. A well-maintained walking path leads from here to the Tolmin Gorges (15 minutes).

Suitable for cars, pre-booked buses, and motorhomes (between 8 AM and 10 PM).

Parking Lot P3

Free parking "P3" is located before entering Tolmin. From here, it’s a 30-minute walk to the Tolmin Gorges through the town of Tolmin.

Suitable for cars, buses, and motorhomes (between 8 AM and 10 PM).

Tolmin Bus Station

If you arrive in Tolmin by public transport, it takes about 30 minutes on foot from the Tolmin bus station to the Tolmin Gorges. The path passes by the Austro-Hungarian cemetery from World War I.

Travelers with heavy backpacks can leave them at the Tolmin Tourist Information Center.

NOTICE OF CLOSURE: Maintenance works on the road to Čadrg
We would like to inform you that from May 11 to May 22 (except Sundays) urgent maintenance works will be carried out on the local road leading to the village of Čadrg.
Restrictions and closures:
- Devil’s Bridge: Completely closed to all traffic and pedestrians.
- A section of the path through the Tolminka canyon (from below Devil’s Bridge to the thermal spring) will be closed.
Due to the works, the visit to the Tolmin Gorges will not be circular, but two-way. Please follow the posted signage and staff instructions.
