Javorca reopens its doors – the memorial church with the European Heritage Label

High above the Tolminka Valley stands the Memorial Church of the Holy Spirit in Javorca – a symbol of peace, reconciliation, and shared history.
It was built by Austro-Hungarian soldiers during the Isonzo Front, and today, with its oak panels engraved with the names of fallen soldiers and the views of the surrounding peaks, it offers a moving insight into the past.
Javorca is part of the Walk of Peace from the Alps to the Adriatic and holds the European Heritage Label.

on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays
between 10:00 and 17:00
From the end of April onwards, Javorca is open more frequently, and every day during the summer months.
