Juliana Alpine Botanical Garden Juliana Alpine Botanical Garden

Rare and unique

Owing to geological processes in the past as well as to the diversity of rocks and the changing climate, Slovenia is one of the richest regions in Europe. Our land is inhabited by species that reach the extreme limit of their distribution here, as well as by plants that cannot be found beyond our borders. Juliana is home to a nice selection of these species, although species that are rare in Europe and endangered owing to various factors are also found here, which is the reason why they have been protected as Natura 2000 species. During the guided tour, you will get to know which peculiar plants proliferate in Juliana.

Admission to the garden as per the price list; guided tours are free.
