Fort Kluže Reopens – a Majestic Story Above the Koritnica Gorge

The mighty Fort Kluže, rising above the Koritnica Gorge, is a symbol of a turbulent past and one of the most important cultural landmarks in the Soča Valley.
Set between the steep slopes of Rombon and Sleme, it tells the story of defence against Ottoman incursions, Napoleon’s army, and the events of the First World War.
Today, it offers visitors a permanent exhibition and a unique experience of history embraced by nature.

From June to September,
the fort is open every day.
