The first official meeting of the organizers and hosts of the Giro d'Italia in Soča Valley
On 9 March, Soča Valley was visited by Enzo Cainero - one of the leading men/representatives at the Giro d'Italia, Edy Reya - the main initiator of the Giro d'Italia in Slovenia, Rok Lozej - technical director of the Giro on the Slovenian side and Simon Rosič - deputy mayor of Nova Gorica who handed over the helm of Giro in Slovenia to the representatives of Soča Valley Tourism Board and the mayors of Bovec, Kobarid and Tolmin.
