A hike between Tarvisio and the Fusine Lakes along the Alpe Adria Trail, dedicated to discovering the natural and culinary highlights of the Alpe-Adria region.

The hike will follow stage 5 of the circular Alpe Adria Trail tour. Cultural stops and culinary breaks are also planned, where you will have the opportunity to taste typical specialties of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

WHAT IS THE EVENT PROGRAMME?

HOW CAN I TAKE PART IN THE HIKE?

Participation in the hike is free of charge, but the number of places is limited.

Registration is mandatory by email at no later than 13 September or until all available places are filled.

We also kindly ask you to arrive at the event venue using as few cars as possible.


HOW DIFFICULT IS THE ROUTE?

The route is easy. It is approximately 17 km long and runs mostly on a gentle uphill gradient. A suitable level of physical fitness is recommended. The estimated walking time, including stops, is approximately 5 hours.

Each participant is responsible for assessing their own physical abilities.


WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

We recommend hiking footwear, sports clothing and a sufficient amount of water.

Please dispose of waste only in the designated bins and follow the rules for separate waste collection. If there are no bins along the route, please carry your waste with you to the finish.


WILL THE EVENT TAKE PLACE IN CASE OF RAIN?

In case of rain or a particularly unfavourable weather forecast, the event will be postponed to Saturday, 26 September.

In the event of postponement, registered participants will be informed no later than 15 September.


USEFUL INFORMATION

Guides and accompanying staff speaking Italian, Slovenian and German will be present along the route.
The welcome speeches will be interpreted into Italian, Slovenian and German
