Ethnology of mountain pastoralism, free guided tour to Za skalo pasture

You are invited to go on a hike accompanied by a Triglav National Park guide.
The Za skalo mountain pasture (1,516 m) lies above the village of Soča and was one of the six common pastures of the Soča villagers. Sheep were primarily grazed there during the summer until 1978. It was part of the rich dairy farming heritage of the Upper Soča Valley, which significantly shaped today's cultural landscape.
- Meeting point: At the Small Soča Gorges (Mala korita Soče). From there, we will drive by car to the village of Vas na Skali (1,000 m) and then continue the journey on foot.
- Equipment: Hiking boots, appropriate protection against the sun and wind, and a sufficient amount of liquids.

The guiding is free of charge. Registration is not required.
