Tolminka Valley and the Church of the Holy Spirit in Javorca – for Everyone
23. 9. 2025 / 10:00 / Tolmin / parking lot P2
The target group of this hike are blind and visually impaired individuals, so the exact route and pace will be adapted and determined based on registrations.
Everyone who prefers a slower walking pace is warmly welcome.
We will set off with the thought: although sight is one of the most important human senses, nature and cultural heritage can reach the heart and mind in other ways too. As Antoine de Saint-Exupéry wrote in The Little Prince, “What is essential is invisible to the eye.”
We plan to start the hike at the Srednjica alpine pasture and ascend to the church, where we will explore the surroundings. This will be followed by a guided tour of the church, during which the Intermunicipal Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired Nova Gorica will hand over a tactile model of the church—created by Kristina Naglost—to the Soča Valley Tourism Public Institute for use.
