27. 9. 2025 / 17:00 / Log pod Mangartom / Log pod Mangrtom
160 years ago, the mountain guide Janez Černuta, known locally as Voznik, was born in Log pod Mangrtom. He made his living from a modest mountain farm and occasionally guided tourists in the surrounding mountains, among them Julius Kugy and especially Henrik Tuma. He was a contemporary of the better-known guides from the Trenta Valley; in 1906 he attended a mountain guide course in Ljubljana, organized by the Slovenian Mountaineering Society. To mark the anniversary, a memorial plaque will be unveiled on his birthplace with a short cultural programme.
