Cycling Day as part of the European Mobility Week at Sotočje in Tolmin | Hiking and Cycling Festival Soča Valley

Cycling Day at Sotočje in Tolmin – choose between two tours:
- Family trip along the Soča and Idrijca rivers to the Idrijca Waterfall and back
- Mountain bike tour (MTB) in the Bohinj–Tolmin mountains. The exact MTB route will be decided at the riders’ gathering.
MEETING POINT: Beach Bar Sotočje, Tolmin, at 9:00
DURATION: 2–3 hours (family tour) / 4–5 hours (MTB)
DIFFICULTY: easy, flat (family tour) / demanding, min. 3/5 (MTB)
EQUIPMENT: family tour – touring or trekking bike, helmet, water / MTB tour – full-suspension mountain bike, helmet, water
PRICE: 10 EUR per adult (includes guiding and snack at the finish)
Family tour description: The tour runs away from traffic, first along the Soča River on the new cycling path to Most na Soči, where the first stop by the lake is planned. The route continues on a quiet road (gravel and asphalt) on the left bank of the Idrijca River to the Kosmač homestead. Return follows the same route.
MTB tour description: The mountain bike tour takes place in the area between Razor alpine pasture, the Tolminka valley and the Krn mountain range with its high alpine pastures. It will include demanding singletrack descents into the valley. It is intended for experienced mountain bikers who enjoy good company or want to discover new attractive trails in the Soča Valley.
All participants will be accompanied by a guide and will enjoy a snack at the finish at Beach Bar Sotočje, where food and drinks will be available throughout the day.
