OUR STORY
Nestled in the untouched embrace of Mother Nature, where the emerald Soča River gently winds through a verdant valley, we have created Zen Emerald for you—a boutique resort in the heart of a tiny, tranquil village near Most na Soči. Surrounded by meadows with awe-inspiring views of the mountain peaks rising above them, it provides a sanctuary where body and mind find their balance.
Zen Emerald was born out of the love for this place and the river that captivates anyone who sees it. It was created from the feeling of tranquility and stillness offered by the woods and crafted from the stone and wood known by the locals who have been building here for generations. Zen Emerald was designed with a slow pace, relaxation, and relief in mind and it offers an experience that will enrich your spirit.
The name Zen Emerald carries two words. Zen represents tranquility, a bright presence, and a sense of being exactly where you want to be. Emerald is the gemstone, the color of the Soča River - to pay homage to this magnificent river that leaves no one indifferent, we’ve dedicated the second part of our boutique resort’s name to it. Both words together describe the philosophy of this place - to be here, in this valley, by this river - to feel - to breathe - to simply be.

Inside the Calma apartment one of the most magnificent waterfalls in Slovenia - the Boka Waterfall - is captured in a large-scale feature piece positioned above a free-standing bathtub. The afternoon light that pours through the apartment’s windows late in the day bathes the whole space in warm gold. Calma is designed for those who refuse to rush. LUMA

It welcomes the morning light early through its east-facing windows, while in the evening, it is painted by the warm glow of the setting sun. VIRA

The stone arch in the Vira apartment dates back to 1841. It has been preserved in its original form and is an architectural element that tells the story of this place better than any word ever could. The old farmhouse and our contemporary design are intertwined so naturally that the line between them has all but vanished. The arch leads to a private atrium with pebbled flooring and greenery acting as your private garden in the middle of the resort. In the morning, the atrium is a space to enjoy that first cup of coffee in silence. In the evening, it is filled with the sounds of nature—the river, the birds, the forest—loud and lively in a way that the body feels as a form of relief.
