Tradition is at least partly retained in all inns and restaurants across the valley. However, the most genuine tradition can be experienced at tourist farms.

Everyday food of the country folk of the Soča Valley was simple, modest and contained a small number of ingredients. Corn flour, potatoes, lard and dairy products were basically on the table every day. Despite dull offer, the housewives were able to create various and delicious stews, gruels, polentas and pampered their families with desserts such as bovški krafi and kobariški štruklji.

Tradition is at least partly retained in all inns and restaurants across the valley. However, the most genuine tradition can be experienced at tourist farms, where you will be served homemade food. The hosts will be pleased to show you their farm, while your little ones will be excited about visiting the animals.
